Welcome

Welcome from the Headteacher

Our school is a very special place, successful and full of creative energy. Our children are happy and thriving; they have fun and have a passion for learning. They spend their days within a community of love which ensures that their spiritual and learning journeys are thoughtfully planned with their best interests in mind. In July 2013, Ofsted confirmed our wonderful school as good in all areas except for behaviour,  for which we were graded outstanding. We are very proud of this achievement. The report is given below for you to read. In October 2013, St. Joseph's was graded as outstanding in all areas of Catholic Life and Religious Education by the Diocesan inspectors. We are delighted with this commendation of the work we do as a Catholic school.

The staff are fully committed to providing children with a very broad learning experience, packed with new challenges and long-lasting memories. We journey with the children and together flourish in a Catholic community of witness of Christ to our world. Our intention is that their desire to learn carries on throughout the children's lives, continually enriching them and helping them to make the right decisions which will make them successful and happy adults.

Our Mission Statement, given below, guides us in our day to day work. We encourage you to look through our school prospectus, where you will find out more about us, our ethos and values.

If you have yet to pay us a visit, then please come and spend some time at the school, which will help you understand why our school is such a unique place. I regularly lead tours of the school and look forward to meeting you.

Please come and visit. We look forward to meeting you.
